The Commons airdrop is a short leaderboard campaign where the top 1,000 users are set to receive a reward. An airdrop means a crypto reward given to eligible users. The current task is simple: connect X and GitHub, claim your starting points, then collect Vouches before the August 24 snapshot. A snapshot is the cutoff used to record who qualifies. The setup is fast, but getting into the top 1,000 may be the real grind.
This airdrop guide was reviewed by the AirdropBuzz research team, who have completed dozens of Solana and DeFi airdrops.

What is the Commons airdrop?
Commons Vouch is a social leaderboard campaign where users collect points and compete for a place inside the top 1,000. The current campaign asks users to connect an X account and GitHub account before claiming their starting score.
After that, the interesting part starts. Each user gets Vouches and Slashes. A Vouch gives support to another account, while a Slash works against another account's score. This makes the campaign more social than a normal quest page where everyone completes the same checklist.
The development team has not publicly disclosed their identities.
The token name, ticker, supply, tokenomics and exact allocation have not been announced in the campaign information available to us. We are marking all of these as TBA rather than guessing.
Our Experience Joining Commons
The AirdropBuzz Team checked the Commons Vouch flow on August 22. The basic path is short. Users open the Vouch page, connect X, connect GitHub and claim their starting points. There is no long list of bridge, swap or deposit tasks in the current flow.
The harder part is the ranking system. Once your starting score is set, simply creating an account may not be enough to reach the top 1,000. You need other users to Vouch for you, and the leaderboard can move as more accounts join.
We did not approve personal X or GitHub permissions during this review session, so we are not going to pretend we completed a full authenticated account test. Based on the task count, the basic setup should take only a few minutes. The Vouch grind can take much longer.
How do Commons Vouch points work?
Your first score comes from the account setup. Think of this as your starting position rather than points earned from endless quests.
You then get 5 Vouches and 5 Slashes. A Vouch supports another user. A Slash does the opposite. These actions are limited, so throwing them at random accounts may not be the best move.
Vouch activity is reported to sync with the leaderboard about every 10 minutes. That means your rank may not change the second someone posts a Vouch.
The campaign also puts more focus on getting support from strong accounts. You may see users asking for Vouches from KOLs. KOL means “key opinion leader,” which is just crypto slang for a well-known or influential account.
How to get more Vouches on Commons
The simplest way is to ask other Commons users to Vouch for your X account. Keep the post clear so the system can read the usernames and the Vouch command.
For example:
Hey @commonsmade I vouch for @AirdropBuzzHQ
You can also reply to other users who are exchanging Vouches. Just remember that your five Vouches are limited. Do not promise hundreds of Vouch-backs when your account cannot deliver them.
The AirdropBuzz Team may return Vouches to random community members where possible, but a return Vouch is never guaranteed.
Commons airdrop eligibility for the top 1,000
The key requirement is simple: you need to finish the account setup and place inside the top 1,000 when the leaderboard snapshot is taken.
- Connect your X account.
- Connect your GitHub account.
- Claim your starting points.
- Collect Vouches to improve your leaderboard position.
- Stay inside the top 1,000 at the snapshot.
The snapshot is set for August 24, 2026. The exact hour has not been confirmed in the information available to us, so getting into position early is safer than trying to move up at the last minute.
Time vs Reward: Is the Commons airdrop worth it?
For the basic tasks, yes. The time cost is low. There are only a few setup steps, and the current flow does not require you to deposit funds or make an on-chain transaction.
Our grind check breaks down like this:
- Account setup: Roughly 2–5 minutes.
- Number of core tasks: Around 3–4 actions before Vouch farming.
- Network friction: Low because the main tasks use X and GitHub rather than repeated blockchain transactions.
- Leaderboard friction: High if your starting rank is far outside the top 1,000.
- Reward value: TBA.
The smart move is to complete the free setup, use your social reach, and watch your rank. If you are thousands of places away from qualification, spending all day hunting Vouches may not make sense when the reward amount is still unknown.
Is the Commons airdrop confirmed?
The campaign states that the top 1,000 users will receive an airdrop. That makes the reward plan stronger than a normal points campaign with no stated winner group.
Still, several big details remain TBA. We do not have a confirmed token ticker, token allocation, reward value or final claim process. Treat “top 1,000 get an airdrop” separately from assumptions about how valuable that reward could become.
Does the Commons airdrop require a wallet or blockchain?
The current participation steps focus on X and GitHub. A wallet connection is not part of the supplied signup steps.
The chain used for a future token claim is TBA. Do not assume that “base points” means the Base blockchain. In this campaign, base points can simply mean your starting score.
If a wallet claim appears later, check the official Commons account before signing anything.
Risks & Things to Watch
- Unknown reward value: The token name, amount and market value are TBA.
- Leaderboard risk: Being ranked inside the top 1,000 today does not mean you will still be there at the snapshot.
- KOL advantage: Socially connected users may find it easier to collect useful Vouches.
- Account permissions: Review what access you give when connecting X and GitHub.
- Fake links: Short campaigns attract phishing accounts. Use the official Commons website and X account.
- Snapshot timing: August 24 is the stated date, but the exact cutoff time is TBA.
- Region rules: Country restrictions have not been clearly announced. Mark this as TBA until official terms are available.
- Future wallet requests: Never enter your seed phrase. A real claim does not need it.
DYOR means “do your own research.” Check account permissions, official announcements and any future claim contract before connecting a wallet.

Disclosure: Vouching for @AirdropBuzzHQ may increase our leaderboard score and could help us qualify for the airdrop. You do not need to Vouch for us to use this guide. We may return Vouches to random community members, but a return Vouch is not guaranteed.
