What is DeepNode & the DIVE Platform?

DeepNode is building a decentralized AI network where developers, validators and compute providers deploy and verify AI models, with rewards tied to real-world usefulness via a Proof-of-Work Relevance (PoWR) mechanism. 1. Opened the official link and connected an EVM wallet.
2. Signed a gasless message to authenticate (no transaction / gas spend).
3. Linked an X (Twitter) account and earned the first chunk of points.
4. Joined Discord and verified the wallet for the first role, picking up extra points from a role quest.
5. Checked the “Badges” area: Early Bird was already fully minted in under half a day, but newer badges like “Social Warrior” and the 100k Users badge were still available.
6. Found and claimed the Christmas gift quest – a limited badge / reward for holiday participants.

 

Time vs Reward: Is DeepNode DIVE Worth Your Time?

From a pure degen farming angle, DIVE looks like a reasonable early bet. DeepNode has real venture backing, public documentation, and coverage on major crypto media outlets, which gives it more legitimacy than many random “points” farms. The AI narrative plus Base-chain positioning also puts it in a meta that tends to get attention when markets heat up.

On the flip side, DeepNode’s own legal wording clearly states that DIVE points have no monetary value and do not guarantee an airdrop. That makes this a classic “speculative airdrop farm”: you’re trading time now for a chance at a future allocation, not a promise.

Our take: if you’re already farming other AI / DePIN plays on Base, adding DIVE to the rotation is smart. The quests are light, the Christmas gift and 100k-user badges are nice optional upside, and you’re front-running what could be a major decentralized AI network. For casual users who don’t like connecting socials, the reward uncertainty may not justify the effort.

DeepNode itself looks legitimate and passes basic external trust checks. However, normal Web3 precautions still apply:

• Wallet permissions: For now DIVE uses message signatures, not onchain transactions. Always double-check that you are only signing non-permissioned messages, not approvals or contract interactions.
• Social connections: You’ll be asked to connect X and Discord; consider using alt accounts if privacy is a concern.
• Future contracts: If they later introduce onchain quests, test with a fresh wallet and revoke approvals regularly via tools like Revoke.cash after interacting.
• No guaranteed airdrop: Base your participation on the learning + upside potential, not on fixed expectations of token value.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Join DeepNode DIVE (and Hunt the Christmas Gift)

1. Prepare your wallet

   Use a non-custodial EVM wallet like MetaMask or Rabby. Add the Base network if you haven’t already (RPC and chain ID from official Base docs). No funds are required at this stage, but it’s good practice to use a fresh “airdrop burner” wallet.

2. Open the official DIVE link

   Navigate to the official URL: https://dive.deepnode.ai. Bookmark it to avoid phishing clones later.

3. Connect your EVM wallet

   Click “Connect Wallet”, choose your wallet, and approve the connection. You should see your address appear on the dashboard, along with a blank points counter.
