Retium remains a public testnet, but its published economic model explicitly says there is no airdrop. This guide is retained as historical testing guidance, not an active token-farming opportunity. Current official documentation routes the faucet through Retium Money and warns that test coins have no monetary value and may be reset.

October 29 status change: testnet live, no airdrop in the published model
Retium's official September 22 explanation explicitly says there is no airdrop, with no team or investor token allocation. It separates network currency from company ownership. This guide's airdrop status is therefore Closed; that does not mean Retium or its testnet has shut down or is fraudulent.
The current testnet page directs faucet users to Retium Money and lists Whisk DEX, hosted validators and other testing tools. Test RTM and RTD have no value, cannot move to mainnet and may be reset. Retium Money showed a network-busy notice during this review, so its live quota, cooldown and account gates could not be verified.
The original Cadet-role onboarding and 5/10 RTM quotas below are preserved as historical instructions, not current eligibility or an earning promise. Validate any old test destination in the current wallet; never send real funds to it. Potential Score remains the historical 65/100, not a newly calculated airdrop recommendation.
- Read the current official testnet page and choose a testing tool, not an assumed reward campaign.

What is Retium?
Retium is an independent Layer-1 blockchain built around a multi-dimensional mathematical network instead of a standard linear chain. The project's architecture uses deterministic prime-number logic and a "Proof of Math" consensus design to process activity across a mesh-like structure. In this system, blocks are pre-planned by math before transactions arrive, completely eliminating the standard "miner race" seen in traditional Proof of Work networks.
RTM is the native coin used for transfers, fees, staking, smart contract activity, and other actions across the Retium network. Retium lists a fixed supply of 1 billion RTM for the planned network economy.
The Retium Foundation publicly identifies Alexey Zubok as the founder. The founder has explicitly stated that Retium is skipping the typical crypto path of discounted token presales and insider allocations, opting instead to build a slow, sustainable foundation. While this is positive for decentralization, the lack of disclosed venture funding and absent security audits increase the overall risk profile.
Does Retium plan an airdrop?
The official September 22 economic-model explanation explicitly states there is no airdrop. No claim date or reward formula should be inferred from public testnet activity.
The testnet is still useful for learning and development. Participation is not evidence of future financial rewards; do not spend money on an assumed RTM distribution.
Historical experience joining Retium
The main challenge with Retium is not sending a transaction; it is getting through the initial community requirements. The current onboarding path includes creating a wallet, saving the private key, connecting Discord, getting the required role, linking X, completing an eight-question quiz, linking Telegram, and then accessing the faucet.
A private key is basically the master password to your wallet. Anyone who gets it can control that wallet. Never paste it into Discord, Telegram, Google Forms, DMs, or random websites.
Once setup is finished, the actual daily routine is much shorter: claim RTM when available, make a transfer, stake some RTM, unstake, and interact with the newly launched NFT Launchpad.

Faucet access is tied strictly to Retium's Discord community requirements. You need to connect Discord to the wallet and hold the required Cadet Role before claiming test RTM. Retium uses this gate to reduce bot accounts and faucet abuse.

How to claim free RTM
After getting the Cadet Role, open the official Retium wallet and scroll to the faucet area. Eligible users can now claim up to 10 test RTM, with another claim becoming available after the cooldown.
These are testnet tokens. Think of them like arcade tokens for testing the network. They should not be treated as real money or assumed to have future market value.
Where to send daily Retium testnet transactions
You need another Retium address when testing normal RTM transfers. If you do not have a second wallet ready, you can use the public testing address supplied for this guide.

How to farm the Retium Public Testnet daily
We recommend focusing on high-quality, varied repeat activity rather than making dozens of identical transfers in one day.
- Claim: Return to the faucet after the cooldown.
- Transfer: Send a small amount of RTM to another Retium address.
- Stake: Test the staking feature with part of your balance.
- Unstake: Complete the reverse action so your wallet records both interactions.
- Explore: Connect to new ecosystem dApps using the recently deployed Wallet Connect feature, and explore the new NFT Launchpad.
Time vs Reward: Is RTM Worth It?
For us, Retium sits in the low-cost, moderate-effort category. The first session has more friction because of Discord roles, X verification, the quiz, Telegram, wallet setup, and faucet access. Based on the current task count, new users should allow roughly 15–30 minutes for initial setup.
After that, a daily farming session can be closer to 3–7 minutes. Claim your faucet tokens, make one or two transfers, test staking, interact with the NFT launchpad, and leave.
