Thrive Protocol is positioning itself as crypto’s “value layer” – a grants and funding platform that routes ecosystem capital to builders based on verified, on-chain results. With Thrive Points: Season 1 now live, a lot of airdrop hunters are asking the same question: is farming Thrive Points on app.thrive.xyz actually worth the time, or is this only for serious builders and guardians? This review breaks down the mechanics, risks, and realistic upside so you can decide where Thrive fits in your airdrop grind.

This airdrop guide was reviewed by the AirdropBuzz research team, who have completed dozens of Solana and DeFi airdrops.

Thrive Protocol Airdrop & Thrive Points Season 1 Review

Step-by-Step Carousel

Swipe through steps quickly: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3 and more.

Step 1
Get a compatible wallet ready (for later on-chain actions). If you plan to build or interact with partner ecosystems (Base, Polygon, Hedera, etc.), set up an EVM-compatible wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby and fund it with a small amount of gas on your target chain. You can still start onboarding with just email, but on-chain milestones will eventually require a wallet.
Step 2
Head to app.thrive.xyz. Open app.thrive.xyz. Use the email sign-in flow (commonly Gmail) as prompted. Complete any OTP/verification steps to access your dashboard.
Step 3
Sign the Thrive Manifesto & create your profile. Thrive’s Season 1 blog explains that the first earn is “Join the Movement” – reading and signing the Manifesto plus creating your profile (role + project name), which together can earn around 25 points (10 for Manifesto + 15 for profile). Open the Manifesto, read, and sign it.
Step 4
Choose your role: Builder, Guardian, or Ambassador.
Step 5
Add a project name (even “TBD” if you’re still forming a team), and basic details.
Step 6
Connect your socials and finish onboarding. In your profile/settings, link X (Twitter) and any other requested social accounts. This not only secures extra points in some guides but is often required for future campaigns and Ambassador referrals.
Step 7
Pick your main path: Builder, Guardian, or Ambassador. Builders: Go to the “Funding Programs” or similar section (Base, Polygon, Hedera, XION, etc.). Choose a program that fits your product (DeFi, gaming, infra, etc.) and submit a detailed application. Points ramp as your project is deemed eligible, shortlisted, funded, and then delivers milestones (up to 100,000 points for full completion).
Step 8
Guardians: If Guardian v2 is open to you, you’ll see review queues or units. Your job is to evaluate project and milestone submissions, keep accuracy above the threshold (e.g., 90%), and maintain weekly/monthly streaks to earn recurring points. If your region/account doesn’t have this yet, it’s still worth flagging Guardian as your role for future access.
Step 9
Ambassadors: Grab your referral link from the dashboard once available. Thrive Season 1 currently highlights 2,500 points for each qualified Builder you bring who applies for funding. Focus on projects that actually fit ecosystem needs – it’s about quality, not raw signups.
Step 10
Stay active during Season 1. Season 1 introduces multipliers for earlier contributors (Preseason and historical Thrive users), memorializes the Preseason leaderboard, and continues to add tasks and roles over time. Keep an eye on Thrive’s blog and X account for new quests, Guardian feature launches, and program announcements.
Chain: Base, Polygon, Hedera (multi-chain) · Cost: $0 (gas only for builders/on-chain) · Time: ~15 minutes for basic setup; more for builders · Difficulty: Medium (Web2 login + Web3 tasks)

Time vs Reward verdict
Time Required Cost Risk Level Our Verdict
~15 minutes for basics; weeks if you build/validate $0 (plus optional gas for on-chain milestones) Medium (email login + on-chain actions) High upside for real builders & guardians; light, speculative value for casual farmers.

What Is Thrive Protocol?

Thrive Protocol is a Web3-native capital coordination and grants platform that connects ecosystem treasuries (Base, Polygon, Hedera, and others) directly with builders. Instead of “spray and pray” grants, Thrive uses a Proof of Value consensus model: capital is released only when projects hit verifiable, on-chain milestones like real usage or transaction volume.

The team talks about Thrive as crypto’s “GDP / value layer” – a place where ecosystems list programs (e.g., Base volume campaigns, Hedera builder funds), builders apply, and Guardians (reviewers) validate that milestones were actually met. Thrive Points: Season 1 adds a structured points system across three roles – Builders, Guardians, and Ambassadors – rewarding everything from signing the Manifesto to completing full milestone tracks and bringing in new builders.

Our Experience Joining Thrive Protocol

Our Experience Joining Thrive Protocol
Our Experience Joining Thrive Protocol

A member of the AirdropBuzz team tested Thrive Protocol via app.thrive.xyz using a desktop browser (Chrome/Brave) with a standard EVM wallet connected. They monitored time-to-onboard, points earned from Manifesto + profile, and how clear the UI was around Builder / Guardian / Ambassador roles.

  • Date joined: Dec 9th 2025
  • Starting actions: Manifesto signed, profile completed, socials connected
  • Roles tested: Builder and Ambassador
  • Issues encountered: X Connect.

From third-party guides and Thrive’s own Season 1 blog, the typical new user path looks like:

  • Sign the Thrive Manifesto and create a profile (role + project) for around 25 points in total.
  • If you’re a Builder, submit a project to active funding programs (Base/Polygon/Hedera/etc.), then climb the ladder from “eligible” to “shortlisted” to “funded” – each step paying out progressively more points (up to 100,000 points for fully completed milestones).
  • Guardians can earn recurring points by reviewing milestones accurately and maintaining streaks once the v2 Guardian dashboard is fully live for the public.
  • Ambassadors get a referral link and score points for sending in qualified builders who actually apply for funding.

Time vs Reward: Is Thrive Points Worth Your Time?

Thrive is not a typical “retweet and hope” airdrop. Almost all of the meaningful upside is tied to real value creation – building, validating, or bringing builders. That’s why our verdict table leans bullish for builders/guardians but only mild for pure airdrop farmers.

For casual airdrop hunters, the basic flow (Manifesto + profile + occasional quests and maybe an invite or two) is fast and free. You can probably land your first points stack in under 15 minutes. However, the raw point numbers skew heavily toward builders and long-term participation. If you don’t plan to submit a project or review milestones, your upside is mostly speculative: you’re banking on points converting into future rewards with no confirmed token yet.

For Builders and startup teams, Thrive looks much more compelling. There are references to ~$100M in total funding pools across partner ecosystems and specific programs like a Base volume campaign and Hedera builder funding.  If you’re already grinding product and users, spending time to apply through Thrive could potentially deliver both treasury funding and large point allocations.

Guardians sit in the middle: if you enjoy deep-dive due diligence and can keep review accuracy high, Season 1’s weekly and monthly streak rewards mean your time compounds nicely. That said, reviewers usually need to read, think, and verify on-chain data, so the effective “points per hour” will depend heavily on how efficient you are.

Overall: if you’re a builder, guardian-type, or plugged into teams who are, Thrive is very likely worth folding into your airdrop + funding strategy. If you just want “quick points”, it’s an easy 10–30 minute add-on, but we wouldn’t over-allocate time versus simpler, higher-certainty drops.

Risks & Things to Watch

Thrive uses email-based onboarding (e.g., Gmail) and on-chain milestone verification, so you’re mixing Web2 identity with Web3 wallets. As always, avoid reusing sensitive passwords, store recovery info securely, and only connect wallets you’re comfortable using for on-chain campaigns.

Contract risk is relatively indirect here – you’re not blindly minting random NFTs; most interactions happen at the project level when builders integrate with ecosystem programs. Still, always verify any contract addresses from official Thrive or partner channels and revoke approvals periodically using tools like Revoke.cash when you’re done. Finally, remember: Thrive has not announced a live token or final airdrop allocations at the time of writing. Treat points as high-upside but speculative – not guaranteed income. DYOR, and nothing here is financial advice.

FAQ: Thrive Protocol Airdrop & Thrive Points Season 1

Is there an official Thrive Protocol token or confirmed airdrop?

As of now, Thrive Protocol has launched Thrive Points: Season 1, not a live token. Points are earned for provable contributions across building, reviewing, and referring builders. Multiple trackers and Thrive’s own messaging suggest that points may matter for future rewards, but there is no confirmed token, TGE date, or allocation published yet. Treat points as speculative and focus on the intrinsic value of grants and funding.

Who benefits most from Thrive Points – airdrop farmers or builders?

Thrive is heavily skewed toward builders and guardians. The largest point allocations come from getting your project eligible, shortlisted, funded, and completing milestones, plus from performing accurate, consistent reviews as a Guardian. Casual farmers can still grab quick points by signing the Manifesto, completing a profile, and using occasional referral opportunities, but the real upside is designed around those who ship products and verify value.

Is Thrive Protocol safe to use?

Thrive is backed by visible ecosystem partnerships (Base, Polygon, Hedera, and others) and is positioned as a serious capital coordination platform rather than a meme project. That said, you still log in via email and may connect wallets for on-chain activity, so you should apply standard security hygiene: verify URLs, use a dedicated browser profile or wallet for farming, and periodically revoke approvals. No platform is risk-free, so only commit time and capital you’re comfortable with.

How long will Thrive Points Season 1 run?

Thrive’s Season 1 announcement describes this as an ongoing campaign with Builder, Guardian, and Ambassador roles, plus Preseason multipliers for early contributors. Some third-party aggregators list provisional end dates into early 2026, but the most reliable information will always be Thrive’s own blog and X account. Check those channels regularly for any changes to deadlines or reward logic.

Can I participate without being a technical developer?

Yes. While the biggest rewards are aimed at builders, non-developers can still contribute as Guardians (reviewing and validating project milestones once the v2 experience is fully live) or as Ambassadors (referring legitimate builders and teams). If you’re good at research, writing, or community building, those skills can still translate into points – just make sure you’re adding real value, not low-quality spam.
