News brief: Optimism reported the following development on October 1, 2026, 08:17 UTC.
What happened
Overview NoteThis is an optional release for op-supernode operators. It contains stricter validation of hardfork activation times in rollup configs.
Why it matters: what to verify
For network developments, distinguish an announcement from a deployed upgrade. Check rollout dates, affected users and any migration steps in official documentation.
What this means for airdrop research
This report is not confirmation of an airdrop, snapshot or claim. Verify any campaign separately through official project channels before connecting a wallet or paying fees.
