Crypto fundraising for Aug. 30 to Sept. 5 was led by a reported $1 billion Polymarket round and confirmed deals from Félix Pago, OpenReserve, Diameter Pay, Firelight, GAEA, ParlayX and Polaris. The capital went mainly to prediction markets, stablecoin payments and banking infrastructure, showing investors still backing crypto projects tied to real money movement and market plumbing.
The AirdropBuzz News Desk reviewed official announcements, funding trackers and reputable news coverage for the supplied list. One item needs a clear label. Polymarket’s $1 billion round has been reported by major outlets and attributed to 1789 Capital’s spokesperson, but Polymarket has not posted its own confirmation. The team has not officially confirmed this.

Polymarket Leads With Reported $1 Billion Round
Polymarket was the largest item on the list. The Business Times reported that Donald Trump Jr.’s venture capital firm, 1789 Capital, is leading a $1 billion funding round that would value Polymarket at $21 billion. The report said 1789 Capital planned to invest about $300 million in the round.
CoinDesk also reported the round and said it would lift Polymarket’s valuation from about $15 billion to $21 billion. Prediction markets are platforms where users trade contracts tied to real-world outcomes, such as elections, sports or policy events.
Because Polymarket has not published its own funding announcement, AirdropBuzz is treating the $1 billion figure as reported, not fully company-confirmed.
Félix Pago Raises $200 Million for Stablecoin Remittances
Félix Pago was the largest confirmed crypto-linked financing on the list. A16z crypto said it led Félix’s Series C equity raise. The company uses USDC, a dollar-pegged stablecoin, to settle many transfers in the background while users send money through WhatsApp.
Crypto.news reported that the full $200 million package included $87 million in equity and a $113 million credit facility from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund. That means the round was not all venture equity. The company plans to grow beyond remittances into savings, lending and AI-supported financial services.
OpenReserve Confirms $25 Million Seed Round
OpenReserve confirmed a $25 million seed round led by a16z crypto. The company said Jump Crypto, Acrew, Coinbase Ventures, Wintermute Ventures, Clocktower, Quona, AAF and Zero Knowledge Ventures also supported the round.
OpenReserve is building a banking platform around continuous settlement. Its site says OpenReserve Bank, N.A. is still “in organization,” and that chartering remains pending until regulatory conditions are met. The OCC’s public index lists Corporate Decision 1389 for an application to charter OpenReserve Bank, National Association, in Salt Lake City, Utah, dated Sept. 2, 2026.
Diameter Pay Adds $10 Million for Payment Rails
Diameter Pay announced a $10 million Series A co-led by CMT Digital and Lightspeed Faction. SixThirty Ventures, Stellar Development Foundation, Tech Council Ventures, Onigiri Capital and BitRock Capital also joined the round.
The company provides banks, fintechs and digital asset exchanges with U.S. dollar virtual accounts, payment rails, stablecoin on- and off-ramps, and compliance controls through an application programming interface, or API. Diameter Pay said it had processed more than $10 billion in payments year-to-date in 2026.
Firelight Raises $8 Million for DeFi Cover
Firelight Protocol confirmed an $8 million seed round led by Gumi Cryptos Capital, with Maven 11, Metalayer, Joint Effects and Tribe Capital participating. DeFi, short for decentralized finance, refers to finance apps that run on blockchains instead of traditional middlemen.
Firelight says it is building cover for protocol, smart contract and economic risks across onchain finance. The team said the protocol is designed to protect capital used in DeFi and broader onchain financial markets.
GAEA, ParlayX and Polaris Close Smaller Rounds
GAEA raised a $3.6 million strategic round backed by MH Venture, CGV FOF, K24 Ventures and M2M Capital, according to CryptoRank, which cited the team’s X announcement. GAEA describes itself as infrastructure for emotionally aware AI agents, linking users, AI agents, data and computing.
ParlayX raised $1.25 million in pre-seed funding led by Dreamcraft Ventures. The user-supplied list rounded this to $1.2 million, but the verified figure from multiple reports is $1.25 million. ParlayX is building institutional tools for prediction markets, including order routing, capital controls and portfolio visibility.
Polaris raised $1 million in an angel round, according to CoinCarp. The tracker lists Ethereum Foundation, Liquity, LI.FI, Altitude and Anthony Sassano among the backers. Polaris is a DeFi protocol focused on pETH, USDp and GOLDp.
Why This Matters
Last week’s verified deals show capital moving toward crypto projects that look more like financial infrastructure than short-term token launches. Payments, banking APIs, stablecoin settlement and prediction-market tools drew the biggest checks.
For users and airdrop participants, the key point is simple. Funding can show that investors are backing a project, but it does not confirm any token launch, airdrop or future reward. Users should rely on official project channels and avoid treating fundraising news as proof of an allocation.
