DataHive is no longer just an unconfirmed points farm. Its official staking page says SOL stakers can receive a $DATA airdrop, and the project states that staking points directly contribute to future token allocation. The browser extension and Android app remain the free route for earning Data Points and Hive Points, while the TGE, snapshot, conversion rate, free-user allocation, and claim date are still TBA.
This airdrop guide was reviewed by the AirdropBuzz research team, who have completed dozens of Solana and DeFi airdrops.

What is DataHive?
DataHive is an AI data and DePIN platform that sources, creates, labels, and validates text, image, video, audio, and public web datasets. DePIN means decentralized physical infrastructure network. In this case, normal users contribute device uptime, public data, recordings, and other work that can help DataHive produce datasets for AI companies.
The project has moved beyond a simple points-only campaign. DataHive’s official staking page now says users can stake SOL and receive $DATA airdrop rewards. Its staking announcement adds that the points earned from staking directly contribute to a user’s allocation in the future $DATA token airdrop.
The free earning path remains available through the Chrome extension and Android app. Users earn Data Points from completed data jobs and Hive Points from keeping their worker online. DataHive also offers data-creation missions, referrals, daily quests, and optional SOL staking boosts.
Funding check: DataHive announced a $3.5M seed round led by 6Man Ventures, with participation from Solana Ventures, Side Door Ventures, Wave GP, Nural Capital, Race Capital, DCF Capital, Curved Ventures, and several angel investors. The main website also publicly displays its investor list.
Our Experience Joining DataHive
AirdropBuzz Team test status: We reviewed the current onboarding flow, official earn page, extension and Android listings, referral system, data missions, SOL staking page, and published airdrop mechanics. We are not calling this a payout test because the $DATA token claim is not live.
The free setup remains beginner-friendly. Create an account, install the official extension, log in, and keep the worker online. Android users can also install the mobile app. No Solana wallet or blockchain transaction is required for this basic route.
DataHive uses two main activity scores. Data Points represent data jobs completed by your device, while Hive Points are mainly connected to uptime. The official referral program currently lists 1,250 points for installing the extension and another 1,250 points for installing the mobile app.
Referrals can become active after 100 hours of activity. DataHive lists referral earnings of up to 35% across three levels: 20% from direct referrals, 10% from the next level, and 5% from the third level. This can help active community builders, but it also gives large referrers an advantage over solo farmers.
DataHive also has real data-creation missions. Its published audio guide says submissions are validated before payment and may be rejected for incorrect language or region information, background noise, recording problems, or failure to follow the script. These tasks require more effort than passive uptime farming.
Time vs Reward: Is $DATA Worth It?
The free route takes approximately 10–15 minutes to set up. After that, users can keep the extension or app online, monitor points, and check for new missions. Recording or labeling missions may take longer and are subject to eligibility and approval.
The optional staking route is more expensive. DataHive currently says new users need at least 1 SOL to stake, plus a one-time stake-account rent fee of approximately 0.0023 SOL. Staking points are awarded each Solana epoch, which is roughly every two days, and scale with the amount of SOL delegated.
At the published rate, staking 1 SOL produces approximately 121 points per epoch and an estimated 22,022 points per year. DataHive warns that the formula coefficients can change as the program is adjusted, so these numbers should not be treated as guaranteed final allocation rates.
The confirmed airdrop wording makes DataHive stronger than a normal speculative points farm. However, users still do not know the $DATA supply, token valuation, points conversion rate, snapshot date, free-user allocation, TGE, vesting rules, or claim window. Farm the free route first and treat staking as a separate financial decision.
Risks & Things to Watch
The $DATA claim is not live. The future airdrop is confirmed for SOL stakers, but tokenomics, TGE, snapshot, conversion rate, allocation size, and claim date remain TBA.
Free-user conversion remains unclear. DataHive says extension and app contributions are tracked through points that determine rewards, but it has not published the exact $DATA conversion or allocation rules for non-stakers.
Extension and app permissions matter. DataHive says it collects anonymized data and does not collect credentials or personal information. These are project claims, not an independent guarantee. Review the permissions and privacy policy before installing anything.
Missions can be rejected. Audio and other data submissions may require a specific language, accent, location, recording environment, or script. Poor-quality or ineligible work may receive no payment.
SOL staking adds financial risk. SOL can fall in value, validator performance can change, unstaking follows Solana epoch timing, and staking point formulas may be adjusted. Do not buy or stake SOL only because an airdrop is advertised.
Referrals can skew rewards. The three-level referral structure and staking multipliers may give creators and larger holders an advantage over basic extension users.
Watch for fake claims. The official claim is not live. Ignore DMs, fake token contracts, paid activation offers, and websites asking for seed phrases or unlimited token approvals.
Start Earning DataHive Points
Use the free extension or Android app route before considering SOL staking. DataHive now has a confirmed $DATA airdrop path for stakers, but the final token value and free-user allocation remain unknown.

DataHive Airdrop FAQ
Is the DataHive airdrop confirmed?
Yes, DataHive officially confirms a future $DATA airdrop for SOL stakers. Its staking announcement says the points earned each epoch directly contribute to a user’s future token allocation. The TGE and claim date remain TBA.
Can I farm DataHive without staking SOL?
Yes. Users can start through the Chrome extension or Android app without staking. These routes earn Data Points and Hive Points, although the final $DATA conversion for free users has not been published.
Do I need a wallet to join DataHive?
No wallet is required for the basic extension or Android app route. A compatible Solana wallet is required if you choose to stake SOL.
How much SOL do I need to stake?
DataHive currently says new users need at least 1 SOL. A small one-time rent fee of approximately 0.0023 SOL is also required to create the stake account. Check the live staking page because these requirements can change.
What are Data Points and Hive Points?
Data Points are connected to data jobs processed or completed through your device. Hive Points mainly reward uptime from keeping the extension or app active. Stakers also receive points that DataHive says contribute to future $DATA allocation.
How does the DataHive referral program work?
The official program offers up to 35% across three levels: 20% from direct referrals, 10% from the second level, and 5% from the third. A referral becomes active after completing 100 hours of activity.
When will the $DATA token launch?
The $DATA TGE, snapshot, tokenomics, points conversion, and claim date are TBA. Do not trust unofficial token contracts or claim links.
Is DataHive safe to use?
DataHive is a live project with public funding, apps, datasets, and staking tools, but using it still requires trust in its extension, mobile app, data handling, mission validation, and Solana validator. Review permissions, start with the free route, and only stake funds you can afford to expose to market risk.
